Subcon produces custom anchor blocks which have been used for pipeline stabilisation, outfall stabilisation, pipeline span supports, renewables, cables and ballast for offshore structures, buoys, spars and wind turbines. Our Anchor Blocks are fabricated from high quality marine grade concrete with either steel or fibre reinforcing to meet the client’s specifications and international standards.
High density concretes up to 3000kg/m3 can be provided and we have fabricated up to 30Te structures to date (refer to our John Brookes Anchor Block Case Study).
All clump weights come with engineered lifting points. These can be load tested as required.
We also have split anchor designs employed on a number of projects. These attract much lower hydrodynamic forces than fully cast arch type anchors and can offer a very efficient means of stabilising pipelines in high velocity applications (refer to our New Caledonia Outfall case study).
Anchor Blocks can also be supplied with rollout anti scour skirts or geotextile bases for protection in high current applications. We have also supplied anchorblocks for applications as span supports on escarpments with preinstalled fabric formworks to close the gaps and provide installation tolerances.
