Subcon is pleased to announce that it has recently assisted Fugro to complete the Greater Western Flank II Mooring Campaign off Australia’s North West Shelf. Subcon provided its state of the art continuous grout mixer, low density, low shrink mix designs, downhole monitoring, stingers, offshore rated silos and an experienced crew to deliver over 350m3 of grout in under two weeks. The scope included the grouting of 15 piles in ~120m water depth. The piles were drilled from a Fugro drill rig supported by a novel moon pool work over tower installed on the Southern Ocean offshore construction vessel.
Fugro-TSM Project Manager, Mark Wilson said “Subcon’s compact CM2000 continuous mixer provided flow rates in excess of 16m3/hr which exceeded our expectations. Subcon’s crew was highly professional and executed their scope without incident”.
The project builds on Subcon and Fugro’s long and successful relationship and demonstrates Woodside’s commitment to supporting local industry and technical innovation.
