The Amrun project includes the construction of a range of infrastructure required to support Bauxite mining and production including a processing plant and port near Boyd Bay, a dam, tailings storage facility, roads and a ferry terminal on the Hey River to transport workers from Weipa to the mine site.

The Hey River and Humbug river facilities comprise berths and moorings for; RORO ferry, heavy mining equipment (HME) barges, and passenger ferries.

Subcon scope

Subcon was contracted for the design, supply and transport of concrete mattresses for scour protection at the Hey River and Humbug River marine facilities
