Intake Towers

Picture 1

A water intake tower is a hydraulic structure that collects water for a variety of uses, such as providing water to populations and agricultural fields, utilisation in industrial facilities and power generation. Intake towers must be able to withstand high flow velocities that will occur inside these structures.

Based on years of experience on concrete flow interaction, we efficiently design highly robust intake tower solutions while keeping the costs as low as possible.

FAQ’s

Yes, Subcon has installed new liners into worn and corroded intakes.  This involves grouting a new liner into the worn intake.  Grout mix designs, sealing systems and sleeves are custom designed to suit the application.

Leaks within the wall can be sealed by pressure grouting the leak path with Subcon’s thixotropic sealants.  Contact one of our engineers to discuss your application.
