Ports, Coastal & Inland

Engineering with nature to deliver resilient coastal infrastructure.

Our unique approach to stabilisation of port and harbour assets, coastal degradation and inland marine infrastructure enables ocean communities to thrive.

Stabilisation

We have extensive expertise in scour protection systems for berthing pockets and breakwalls in ports and LNG terminals, jetties, bridge piles and revetments. Our stabilisation techniques are also applied to coastal engineering applications for beach head protection, erosion control, outfall pipeline stabilisation and wave attenuation.

Marine Grouting

Our marine grouting services are utilised across this industry – supplying services for jetty grouting, rip rap stabilisation, in-situ filled scour mattresses, mooring dolphin and pile grouting, microtunnel grouting for shore crossings and dam wall repairs. We don’t shy away from a challenge – we’ve tackled some of the hardest to reach places including dam intake towers and desalination plant intakes and outfalls with successful grouting solutions.

Reefs

We are incredibly proud to have built the world’s largest living harbour project at Port Coogee which includes the first marine applications of Geopolymer Concretes. Our groundbreaking, large scale, low carbon habitat solutions provide crucial habitat for marine flora and fauna whilst simultaneously providing dive and fishing amenities for local communities.

As pioneering Reef Engineers, we have also built one of the largest fringing reefs at Mon Choisy, Mauritius for the UN Development Program. We continue extensive research, monitoring and testing of new wave attenuating designs. Our unique approach to working with nature combines engineered substrates carefully designed to replicate natural reef morphology with coral outlanting. This two-pronged approach creates a sustainable, fully functioning ecosystem that supports thriving marine communities.
