Roc Oil Precision Rock Dumping
The Cliff Head Oil Field lies 10 km offshore in the Perth Basin, approximately 350 km North of Perth. In 2016/17 Roc Oil required 8 off pipeline freespans to be rectified through support and stabilisation measures.
Subcon supplied a combination of Standard Fabric Formwork grouted in-situ form the vessel back deck, and prefilled gravel bags. We chartered a 28m Shallow Draft Workboat with 2 No. He-Dynamic Knuckle Boom Crane to form a full supply and install scope.
In 18m water depth, in a pristine fishery, the scope for the free span remediation included the following:
- Vessel Charter
- Remote Ballast Deployment Frame with integrated positioning system
- HPU
- Eyeball ROV
- Material supply and waste management
